What Can We Do?
Even though this is regulated by the government and the DoD, we as individuals can make a contribution toward reducing energy consumption. We the people, can write and send letters to our respected representatives and lawmakers, to make reforms on energy and military policies. They will have the power to reduce energy consumption, and how much we spend on it.
Even the very simple reductions in our personal lives can make a big impact on the global scale. Many of these problems can be solved the same way that we can solve global warming problems. Such as:
1.) Use less energy, by turning the "Off" switch on.
2.) Drive less, or car pool with others.
3.) Use eco-friendly products that don't harm or are less harmful to the environment.
4.) Plant a tree.
5.) Use less hot water, and shorten the amount of time you use your water for showers, dishes, cleaning etc.
6.) Use less heating heating and air conditioning for your home.
