Green Energy
Solar Energy
Solar Energy is one way the military can solve their big consumption of energy and environmental damage to it. Currently the Obama administration and the Pentagon are working together to reduce emissions on a balanced budget approach.
Below and to the left are examples of how the Military is producing renewable energy to power themselves. |
Possible Solutions for Energy.
Wind |
Wind energy is converting wind into energy. How wind turbines works is that when the wind blows it moves the blades and when the blades it turns on the generator creating electricity. The blades are modified to be more efficient than old windmills.Although the revolution of the blades is slow the tip of the blade can sometimes be 150mph. For more click on link below.

Hydro Plants
|
Hydro energy is a water power plant. When water passes through the plant it rotates whats called the turbines. When the turbines turn the generator connected to it making electricity. The turbines can weigh up to 172 tons and has a rpm of 90. For more click on link below.

Fuel Cells |
Fuels Cells create electricity by chemical reactions between two electrodes. One of the electrodes is positive while the other is negative. Every electrodes have an electrolyte that carries electrically charged particles to the other electrodes. They also have a catalyst that speedups the process. The fuel that runs this is mostly Hydrogen and Oxygen. The good thing about this is that they created a harmless byproduct to the environment which is water. For more click on link below.

Geothermal
Biomass
|
Heat energy from the Earth. Geothermal energy can be used in many ways. For example it can be used to heat up the houses and cool houses as well. It can also be use to create electricity and many more. For more click on link below.
